About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for performing recruiting duties across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment with the agency's mission of bringing hope to life. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers, customizing the interview process, and maintaining relationships with educational institutions and recruitment sources. The Specialist will also assist with various human resources functions as needed, contributing to a culture of community and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the established recruiting process for the organization.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand position needs and educate them on the recruitment process.
  • Facilitate and customize interview questions and the interview process for all open positions, incorporating the Agency's cultural values and mission statement.
  • Write compelling job postings in the recruiting system in collaboration with Program Managers, Supervisors, and Directors.
  • Ensure job postings contain all legally required information.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with colleges, attend recruiting job fairs, and develop social media recruiting strategies.
  • Develop and maintain an online recruiting presence using social media and other tools.
  • Attend networking events to build connections in the Agency's service area.
  • Coordinate with Development staff to ensure updated Agency information is available for recruiting events.
  • Act as a liaison with area employment and advertising agencies, processing billings and coordinating with temporary agencies as directed.
  • Coordinate the use of temporary employees and collaborate with the Credentialing Specialist on interns and student practicums.
  • Review applications, screen candidates, and forward to hiring managers for review.
  • Conduct telephone pre-screening interviews and perform reference checks using a third-party vendor.
  • Process all employee/HR paperwork associated with recruitment through the ATS (applicant tracking system).
  • Utilize knowledge of state and federal student loan assistance programs to develop recruitment outreach activities.
  • Foster relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
  • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork.
  • Report all employee relations issues to Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to relate to individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to customize interview processes and questions based on organizational needs.
  • Knowledge of state and federal student loan assistance programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with social media recruiting strategies.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Previous experience in a human resources role.
