The Tax Senior Manager position focuses on Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits within the Washington National Tax team. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge and demonstrated experience in the taxation of compensation and benefits. This position requires the individual to be located near a Baker Tilly office and offers a steady schedule without the large peaks of busy season, making it suitable for those who prefer a more predictable work environment. In this role, you will provide tax technical support and insight to team members across various practices, including tax, audit, consulting, and internal HR, on issues related to employee benefits and executive compensation. This may involve working with topics such as ERISA, qualified retirement plans, fringe benefits, golden parachutes, deferred compensation, and equity compensation. You will also be responsible for briefing team members on relevant issues, attending client meetings, and reviewing issues with clients or their legal counsel. Strong writing and communication skills are essential, as you will be expected to explain complex federal tax regulations and guidance to others, as well as engage in writing and research activities.
