About the position

As a Tax Senior Manager in Deloitte's Private Wealth Tax practice, you will lead compliance and consulting services for individual clients, trusts, estates, family offices, and closely-held businesses. This role involves high-level reviews of tax research, preparing and leading client meetings, and mentoring junior staff. You will also engage in marketplace eminence building and profitability analysis, focusing on complex tax issues and planning opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level reviews of tax research and work papers related to individual, fiduciary, partnership, and estate tax returns.
• Prepare and lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities.
• Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
• Take on lead client-contact roles and manage billing and profitability analysis on engagements.
• Engage in marketplace eminence building and pursuits.

Requirements

• 8+ years of public accounting experience (at least 3 years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.
• Active CPA license, licensed attorney, or enrolled agent certification.
• Certifications such as Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
• Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and client needs.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM.
• Prior Big 4 experience.
• Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.
• Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
