About the position
Level UP Enrichment is seeking enthusiastic instructors to join our team and inspire children through engaging after-school programs. Our mission is to provide a balanced mix of academic learning and essential life skills, such as critical thinking, teamwork, and communication. We offer a variety of classes, including Chess, Escape Room adventures, Sports and Dance, Art, Science and Engineering, and more. Each program is designed to be fun and educational, helping children from grades TK-5th develop skills that will serve them well in life. As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching these programs at assigned elementary schools in your area. Classes are held from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM on weekdays, making this an ideal part-time job for those with morning or evening commitments, as well as students. The curriculum is pre-written, and all necessary materials will be provided, allowing you to focus on bringing your enthusiasm and passion for teaching to the classroom. We are looking for individuals who can connect with students and create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities
- Teach after-school programs to children in grades TK-5th.
- Inspire students through engaging activities that promote critical thinking and teamwork.
- Utilize pre-written curriculum and provided materials for each class.
- Travel to assigned elementary schools to conduct classes.
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude while working with students.
Requirements
- A passion for working with children.
- Reliable transportation and cellphone.
- Availability between 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM on weekdays.
- Ability to pass a background check upon hiring.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience assisting/teaching in a classroom setting.
- Interest in Child Development and Psychology.
- First Aid Certification (Preferred).
- Covid-19 Vaccination Card (Preferred).
