About the position

The Teacher Aide position in the Cross-Categorical Special Education Program at Edison Middle School is designed to support students with diverse educational needs. The Teacher Aide will also be responsible for using approved student restraints when necessary, lifting students or equipment as needed, and performing physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and squatting to meet the needs of students. The position is full-time, requiring 7 hours of work each day, and is expected to start in August 2024. The ideal candidate will possess a Paraprofessional License or the ability to obtain one, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
