About the position
Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania seeks energetic and passionate Teacher Assistants and Personal Care Assistants to serve students with complex needs in our 2025 extended school year summer program. The Teacher Assistant will provide supervision, care, and instructional support for students with significant disabilities, ranging in age from 5 up to age 21. The PCA will provide one-to-one instructional support for students with significant disabilities. Essential responsibilities include assisting the classroom teacher with all lessons and activities, providing personal care, monitoring goal progress, supervising students, and general support of students throughout the day. Strong communication skills, high energy, and desire to have fun with students in a team setting are a must! This position provides an excellent opportunity to be employed within a well-established program supporting students with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with all lessons and activities
- Provide personal care to students

Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children or children with disabilities
- Experience supporting children with complex medical needs preferred
Nice-to-haves
- College credits in education or related field preferred
- CDA or willingness to obtain CDA preferred
