About the position

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Biomed Tech III to perform performance assurance inspections, installation, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of medical instrumentation and systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the functionality and safety of biomedical equipment, providing education to staff, and mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs preventive maintenance, performance assurance testing, and electrical safety inspections.
• Repairs and calibrates equipment and devices to meet original manufacturers' specifications.
• Conducts analyses to identify symptoms, define problems, compare options, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Provides in-service education and customer service to staff on equipment operation and safety.
• Mentors and trains level one and two Biomedical Electronic Technicians.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5-10 years of experience in biomedical technology

Nice-to-haves

• Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of experience in biomedical technology
• Less than 2 years of supervisory experience
• Biomedical equipment vendor training certification
