About the position

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) plays a crucial role in managing the post-sales process for US Federal customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth. This position requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive personnel. The TAM will establish and maintain relationships with key contacts, identify business opportunities, and provide technical support throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide product and technical support for assigned accounts
  • Identify and develop potential new business opportunities
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams
  • Provide functional and technical support to customers
  • Respond to customer questions on technical best practices and business-related issues
  • Deliver high-level and detailed technical sales presentations
  • Attend conferences, seminars, etc.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge in the technical security space including security assessment, configuration auditing, network security, indicators of compromise, DAST, endpoint security, IaaS security, and other enterprise security solutions
  • Knowledge of Federal Compliance issues such as FedRAMP, STIGs, FIPs is a plus
  • Strong presentation skills and professional communication in emails, RFIs, RFPs
  • Ability to interact at all levels within customer organizations, from C-level to front-line technical staff
  • Organized and analytical with the ability to eliminate technical sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout sales territory

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical security experience in the Federal space including system integrators
