As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in supporting our National Security customers by acting as their principal technical advisor. This position is not a sales role; instead, it focuses on helping customers across various industries and sizes maximize the value and service they receive from AWS. You will be responsible for crafting and executing strategies that drive the adoption and effective use of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS databases, Lambda, SageMaker, ECS/EKS, GuardDuty, Systems Manager, and CodePipeline. Your technical expertise and customer-facing skills will enable you to represent AWS effectively within customer environments and engage in discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management. In this role, you will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help customers plan and build solutions using best practices. You will proactively ensure that your customers' AWS environments remain operationally healthy. By developing close relationships with your customers, you will gain insights into their business and operational needs, as well as their technical challenges, allowing you to help them achieve the greatest value from AWS. This position requires a willingness to travel 10% or more as needed, and it is essential that candidates possess a current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. While the role is posted in Herndon, VA, it can also be located in Arlington, VA.
