About the position

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Cardinal Health plays a critical role in delivering business value through effective project management and consulting skills. This position requires a deep understanding of the healthcare domain and the ability to solve complex technical challenges for major pharmaceutical manufacturers. The TAM will leverage Cardinal Health's technology solutions to meet client needs and enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Cardinal Health and customer industry, including key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, challenges, reimbursement and government regulation.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the project management initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing processes.
  • Monitors performance and recommends scope, schedule, cost or resource adjustments.
  • Connects short-term demands to long-term implications, in alignment with the supporting business case.
  • Prioritizes multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Communicates project status (health, forecast, issues, risks, etc.) to stakeholders in an open and honest fashion.
  • Effectively balances competing project constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to manage project success.
  • Connects project objectives to broader organizational goals.
  • Provides input to contracts, reviews contracts to ensure completeness of scope and appropriate accountability based on role and/or responsibility.
  • Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful project execution.
  • Partners with stakeholders and technologists to implement/automate/operationalize models into day-to-day business decision making.
  • Acts as single technical liaison for the client.
  • Daily interactions with client to assess and advise client needs and requests.
  • Analyzes client program, needs and proposes solutions and options that provide value to client.
  • Recommends technical changes/updates/enhancements to current platform and vendor integration landscape to further align with client's strategy and industry advancements.
  • Manages client deliverables, timelines, and artifacts.
  • Monitors team backlog and prioritizes activities to deliver on time, on budget, on scope.
  • Anticipates client needs and proactively makes program recommendations to enhance service value.
  • Performs necessary project administration, project status, and risk, issue management.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of the healthcare industry and Cardinal Health's offerings.
  • Experience in project management processes including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing.
  • Strong communication skills to convey project status and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to balance competing project constraints.
