About the position

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) plays a crucial role in managing the post-sales process for Enterprise-level customers. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to ensure customer satisfaction throughout all stages of the sales process. The TAM is responsible for articulating the company's technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, ensuring that all technical and business issues of assigned accounts are identified and addressed effectively. This role is pivotal in fostering long-term relationships with clients and driving customer success by providing tailored support and solutions. In this position, the TAM will provide product and technical support for assigned accounts, actively identifying and developing potential new business opportunities. The TAM will also serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams, conveying customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams. This involves responding to customer inquiries regarding technical and business-related issues, delivering high-level and detailed sales presentations, and attending conferences and seminars to represent the company and its offerings. The ideal candidate for this role must be self-motivated and possess a strong knowledge base in the security and compliance space, including areas such as Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, and various compliance regulations. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the TAM will interact with individuals at all levels within customer organizations, from C-level executives to front-line technical staff. The ability to think analytically and creatively to overcome sales obstacles is also critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide product and technical support for assigned accounts
  • Identify and develop potential new business opportunities
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams
  • Provide functional and technical support to customers
  • Respond to customer questions on technical and business related issues
  • Deliver high-level and detailed sales presentations
  • Attend conferences, seminars, etc.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge in security and compliance space: Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, Policy Compliance, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Scanners, PCI, Policy Compliance and Audit Tools, other enterprise security solutions
  • Knowledge in variety of Federal Regulatory Compliance issues: ISO 27001, HIPAA, GLBA, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
  • Strong presentation skills and professional communication in emails, RFPs, and reports
  • Comfortable interacting at all levels within customer organizations, from C-level to front-line technical staff
  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to travel throughout sales territory
