About the position

The Technical Business Analyst at PruTech plays a crucial role in supporting and analyzing the technical design of applications within the Fixed Income, Credit, and Risk domains. This position involves working with integration tools such as MuleSoft and MQ Series, focusing on event-driven message transmission capabilities to customize or generate products. The analyst will engage in the entire trading life cycle, which includes pre and post-trade activities, trading on electronic platforms, order and execution management, clearing and settlement, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. The ability to break down complex tasks into manageable scopes is essential for success in this role. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Technical Business Analyst will lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of complex solutions, ensuring adherence to the Product Owner's acceptance criteria and Enterprise Technology standards. The role requires managing and executing robust unit testing associated with user stories completed during sprints, with a focus on automating unit testing through DevSecOps practices and tools integrated into the software development pipeline. The analyst will work within a feature team framework, providing oversight to scrum teams and engineering functions. This position requires direct consultation with business stakeholders from the design process initiation to the delivery of innovative, high-quality software that meets business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and analysis for applications in Fixed Income, Credit, and Risk.
  • Design technical solutions using integration tools like MuleSoft and MQ Series.
  • Engage in the entire trading life cycle, including pre and post-trade activities.
  • Lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of complex solutions.
  • Manage and execute unit testing for user stories during sprints.
  • Drive automation of unit testing using DevSecOps practices.
  • Analyze features and facilitate decomposition to user story level within scrum teams.
  • Consult with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software that meets business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems.
  • Ten years of experience as a developer or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Broadridge platforms, especially IMPACT.
  • Deep knowledge of Fixed Income products and trade life cycle.
  • Experience in Investment Technology and Capital Markets Technology.
  • Ability to communicate complex information logically and straightforwardly.
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery methodology.
  • Sophisticated analytical skills to solve complex technical and business problems.
  • Knowledge of data analysis/mining (R, Python), business intelligence tools (Qlikview, Tableau, MSPowerBI), and distributed systems (J2EE, .Net, Middleware, MuleSoft/MQ Series, WebServices, Javascript).
  • Experience with database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, SnowFlake, PostgreSQL, and Hadoop.
  • Experience supporting Capital Markets Regulatory Environment (SEC, FINRA, CFTC, NFA, FED).
  • Ability to influence senior-level stakeholders.
