About the position

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and monitor Data Loss Prevention strategies and solutions to protect sensitive information.
• Work closely with IT, security, compliance, and business units to identify risks, enforce policies, and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain DLP tools and technologies across endpoints, networks, and cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Integrate DLP solutions with existing security infrastructure.
• Develop and enforce DLP policies to classify and secure sensitive data such as intellectual property, financial records, and personal information.
• Monitor data usage patterns and enforce data-handling best practices.
• Experience with DLP Platforms: Symantec DLP, Microsoft Purview (formerly AIP), Forcepoint DLP, etc.
• Familiarity with Endpoint Protection Solutions and SIEM tools for monitoring (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with data protection capabilities.

• Continuously monitor alerts and events from DLP tools to identify and respond to potential data breaches or policy violations.
• Conduct investigations and root-cause analysis of data loss incidents.
• Collaborate with business units to identify and assess risks related to sensitive data handling.
• Recommend and implement measures to reduce exposure to data loss.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and organizational security policies.
