About the position

The Technical Product Owner for Workday at Insight Global will play a pivotal role in partnering with key Global Talent Management stakeholders to enhance the digital Workday ecosystem. This position requires a strong blend of product management and project leadership skills to effectively drive the delivery of strategic HR priorities. The individual will be responsible for building product roadmaps and will serve as the Workday product owner and subject matter expert, particularly focusing on the Talent Management module. The role emphasizes active listening to the voice of the customer to shape business requirements for innovative solutions aimed at continuously improving user experience, reducing costs, and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery. In collaboration with the IT organization, the Technical Product Owner will ensure that systems comply with company standards for security, compliance, and data privacy. This individual will exemplify and promote a culture of process excellence and continuous improvement by maximizing the use of key features, expanding automation, and focusing on self-service capabilities. Close partnerships with IT and HR Global Services delivery teams will be essential for enabling and adopting solutions across the enterprise, ensuring that the organization remains agile and responsive to the evolving needs of its workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with key Global Talent Management stakeholders to enhance the Workday ecosystem.
  • Drive delivery on strategic HR priorities through effective product management and project leadership.
  • Build product roadmaps and serve as the Workday product owner and subject matter expert.
  • Shape business requirements for innovative solutions based on customer feedback.
  • Ensure systems meet company standards for security, compliance, and data privacy in collaboration with IT.
  • Foster a culture of process excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Maximize the use of key features and expand automation in HR processes.
  • Work closely with IT and HR Global Services delivery teams to enable and adopt solutions across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive relevant experience in HR Application Management, HR Information Systems, HR Infrastructure, and/or HR Technology Business Requirements.
  • Experience using and configuring Workday's Talent Management module.
  • Experience working with Specific Performance and Development processes within HCM CORE.
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and define solutions requirements from various business units with a consultative approach.
  • Ability to align business needs to a product strategy.
  • Strong leadership skills with an understanding of regional differences.
  • Effective communication skills across Technology & HR functions.
  • Solid interpersonal skills to work across the organization and interact effectively at all levels of management and peers.
  • Experience using agile methodology.
  • Working knowledge of platform integration methodology and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) based integrations.
  • Experience using Service Center technologies, such as Salesforce.com, with ticket management, knowledge management, telephony/IVR, and document management skills.
