About The Position

The Technical Program Manager for Project Kuiper at Amazon will play a crucial role in the design, launch, and maintenance of a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites aimed at providing broadband connectivity to underserved communities. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking to manage complex projects in a start-up environment, ensuring successful delivery through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, supply chain, consulting, or operations with proven experience in leading process and systems transformation initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years experience working as a functional lead with SAP S/4 HANA FICO module.
  • Experience with Oracle and Coupa applications.
  • Expertise in Make to Stock, Make-to-Order, & Order-to-Cash processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop use cases by gathering business requirements and work with software development to build required features.
  • Participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) sessions to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements.
  • Engage in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and User Training.
  • Manage a portfolio of system implementation projects from design to deployment, including integration with Amazon Corporate systems.
  • Build deployment project plans and manage risks impacting successful delivery.
  • Navigate through ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups.
  • Communicate project status to a broad audience and follow appropriate escalation channels.
  • Lead large, complex, cross-organizational projects with a strong program management background.
  • Drive project schedules from design to release, managing production launches and using metrics for status updates.
  • Simplify processes and demonstrate innovation and good judgment in problem-solving.
  • Drive best practices, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and develop program and team processes and tools.
