About the position

The Technical Project Manager (SOC2/SEC Compliance) role at GSquared Group involves leading compliance projects focused on SOC2 and SEC standards within an insurance-focused consulting organization. The position requires a skilled project manager with 5-10 years of experience to remediate audit findings, drive solutions, and ensure audit readiness. The role emphasizes collaboration across various teams and stakeholders, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOC2 and SEC compliance projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate any audit findings and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring transparent communication with stakeholders on progress and risks.
• Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates and facilitating discussions to address challenges and drive accountability.
• Foster strong relationships with relevant teams, including IT, Legal, Risk Management, and Operations, to ensure effective collaboration and information sharing.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Prepare documentation for audit readiness, including policies, procedures, and evidence of compliance.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to SOC2 and SEC compliance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Information Technology, or related discipline).
• 5-10 years of experience in project management, particularly in compliance-related projects.
• Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Demonstrated experience with SOC2 and SEC compliance frameworks and audit processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving solutions to complex challenges.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of industry standards related to information security and compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
