About the position

The Technical Project Manager (Healthcare) will lead complex healthcare IT initiatives, focusing on data integration, data warehousing, and business intelligence. This role requires a strong background in healthcare and hands-on expertise in ETL development using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The successful candidate will ensure project delivery from planning through implementation, managing Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of healthcare IT projects, especially those focused on Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW), ETL development, and data integration.
• Utilize expertise in ETL development using SSIS to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines.
• Manage and oversee EDW projects, including the design, architecture, development, and deployment of data warehousing solutions.
• Apply deep knowledge of healthcare data and regulatory compliance to ensure all data solutions adhere to industry standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Use Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall project management methodologies to plan, execute, and track progress.
• Oversee the ETL process using SSIS, optimizing workflows and ensuring efficient data migrations, transformations, and loading.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure comprehensive reporting to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of data during all stages of the ETL pipeline.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in technical project management, focusing on ETL development using SSIS and EDW projects.
• Hands-on experience with SSIS for designing, developing, and deploying ETL solutions.
• Proficiency with SQL Server and related technologies (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio, SQL queries).
• Proven track record managing EDW projects, including experience in data warehousing architecture and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project).
• PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications are highly preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and integrating them with healthcare data systems.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CCD).
• Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Snowflake) and integration with BI tools for reporting and analytics.
• Understanding of data security and best practices for handling sensitive healthcare data.
