About The Position

X-ELIO, a Brookfield-owned leader in the renewable sector, is seeking a Technical Project Manager to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering tasks for large-scale renewable energy projects from initiation to post-construction. The position is based in Washington D.C. and reports to the Regional Technical Manager - Americas. The selected professional will play a crucial role in collaborating with teams for project support in development, design, and cost estimation, as well as gathering and analyzing technical data to validate Solar PV layouts and electrical diagrams.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Electrical (or similar) Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience acting in Solar PV and/or Energy Storage commercial development or a generally related construction development process including project development, design and engineering, and construction of energy generation projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and PV SYST.
  • Understanding of NEC and other applicable codes pertaining to commercial Solar PV.
  • Solid understanding of renewable energy markets and project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams for project support in development, design, and cost estimation.
  • Gather and analyze technical data and validate Solar PV layouts and electrical diagrams.
  • Perform energy modeling and support procurement with technical documents for RFPs.
  • Coordinate detailed engineering for construction projects and interact with EPC companies.
  • Assist with technical aspects of proposals, contracts, and customer presentations, including site visits and compliance.
