About the position

Zeno is seeking a highly motivated Technical Project Manager (Regulatory & Supply Chain) to support the mission-oriented efforts of developing and bringing to market Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) technologies. In this role you will manage planning and execution of activities, track budget and spend rates, and develop and maintain schedule for Americium-241 and Strontium-90 fuel supply chain development work. You will also manage planning and execution of activities, track budget and spend rates, and develop and maintain schedule for Zeno Nuclear Production Facility development work, as well as for Zeno's Regulatory and Launch Approval work. Additionally, you will develop, manage, and report on risk associated with Nuclear Supply Chain and Regulatory work scopes, write and manage subcontractor work scopes necessary to support these activities, and initiate project management framework and architecture for Zeno's first-of-a-kind RPS projects. Coordination of multi-year schedule and cost inputs from Zeno stakeholders, including government agencies, the U.S. Department of Energy, National Labs, and contractors will also be part of your responsibilities. You will ensure sound project management methodology is applied for control of the projects by implementing and enforcing baseline schedule and costs, support procurement activities, and assist with the development and refinement of Zeno project management best practices, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage planning and execution of activities for fuel supply chain development work.
  • Track budget and spend rates for various projects.
  • Develop and maintain schedule for Nuclear Production Facility development work.
  • Manage regulatory and launch approval work schedules.
  • Develop, manage, and report on risk associated with Nuclear Supply Chain and Regulatory work scopes.
  • Write and manage subcontractor work scopes.
  • Initiate project management framework for RPS projects.
  • Coordinate multi-year schedule and cost inputs from stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce baseline schedule and costs.
  • Support procurement activities including document development and contract close out.
  • Assist with the development of project management best practices.

Requirements

  • B.S. or higher in an engineering discipline from accredited university.
  • > 6 years of engineering management or project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing schedules and costs in an aerospace or nuclear environment.
  • Strong understanding of baseline change control and configuration management.
  • Project Management Professional certification is desired.
  • MS Project or equivalent schedule management software experience required.
  • Experience with Atlassian product suite (Confluence and Jira) strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing a first-of-a-kind or engineering design project strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter with ability to coordinate and lead project management efforts.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
