About The Position

The Technical Sales Representative (TSR) at GAF Commercial plays a crucial role in the Commercial Coatings Sales team, focusing on the North Texas markets, including Fort Worth and Dallas. This remote-based position is responsible for strengthening GAF's presence in the Commercial Roof Coatings industry by identifying opportunities, generating leads, and deepening customer networks. The TSR will influence key decision-makers in the commercial construction process to increase sales opportunities and ensure alignment with the Liquid Applied Systems sales strategy.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of demonstrated commercial sales experience in a building materials environment.
  • Specification Sales experience of 5+ years.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Liquid Applied or Commercial Roofing experience is ideal.
  • Industry experience related to commercial construction, building materials, and liquid applied systems is a must.
  • Advanced communication and organizational capabilities required.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient use of commercial construction databases such as Dodge Analytics and Salesforce CRM tools.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Ability to influence others is essential.
  • Proficiency with Google Business Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Influence key decision makers in the commercial construction process including architects, owners, and contractors.
  • Manage, track, and distribute significant projects to increase sales opportunities throughout a multi-month or multi-year sales cycle.
  • Build relationships with the current Preferred Contractor base and identify gaps in the market.
  • Own the success of customers by working closely with local Preferred Contractors to pull regional project opportunities.
  • Identify and communicate essential technologies and product line presentations to have Liquid Applied products specified and installed.
  • Utilize commercial construction databases and CRM tools for lead generation and support selling efforts.
  • Actively participate in industry associations and attend trade events to support education and events.
