The company is currently seeking an experienced Technical Service Engineer I for our facility in Lexinton, Kentucky. Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain products and equipment.
  • Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs.
  • Identify, analyze, and repair product failures.
  • Order & replace parts as needed.
  • Determine and recommend products, systems or services that best fit customers' needs.
  • Observe equipment in operation and execute various test cycle operations.
  • Complete preventive maintenance requirements on equipment.
  • Perform site specific projects as assigned.
  • Ensure proper tracking of parts used to ensure consignment inventory accuracy.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and assist site installation crews.
  • Perform Engineering studies to develop reliable and optimum solutions.
  • Create bid documents and facilitate meetings and negotiations with subcontractors.
  • Create customer quotes and facilitate meetings and negotiations with customers.
  • Make estimations on small projects.
  • Understand project schedules and site activities for successful implementation.
  • Familiar with structural design and analysis.
  • Interface with the on-site project team and communicate with the design team.
  • Supervise other associates and skilled trades as required.
  • Be available to work weekends, nights, overtime, and holidays.
  • Travel to job sites within the US, Canada, or Mexico as needed.
  • Negotiate through an industrial conveyor system requiring climbing access ladders.
  • Physically capable of standing and/or walking for long periods.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.

Requirements

  • Strong PLC programming skills in a hands-on field construction environment.
  • Ability to choose and manage sub-contractors, manage schedules and budgets.
  • Skill to meet with customers and identify needs and potential sales opportunities.
  • Requires debugging skills during commissioning of new equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interface effectively with customers and peers.
  • Ability to react to changes proactively and handle essential tasks.
  • Broad-based customer focus and commitment to resolve problems.
  • Strong communication skills for interface with customer engineers.
  • Machinery installation experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Experience with AutoCad, Inventor, or other 3D modeling software (minimum 2 years).
