Technical Test Engineer

About the position

Fiserv is a world-class data and analytics organization delivering the next generation of powerful data insights and decisioning solutions to financial institutions, fintech, consumer/business credit bureaus, government agencies and merchants. As a successful Technical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the test team by managing the test environments. Test environment management includes: Test abend problem research & resolution, environment maintenance, test data mining, sanitizing and provisioning, batch cycle execution and test process automation.

Responsibilities

• Support technical testing staff with batch and online abend problem determination and resolution.
• Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Perform testing activities to support the client acceptance testing and in house testing teams.
• Data provisioning to load for client test cases.
• Analyze test results and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• US citizenship capable of obtaining security clearance with the Federal Government.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
• 2+ years of experience JCL, /PROCS, Filemaster, DB2, SQL, and CICS.
• 2+ years of related technical or software testing experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of experience in testing financial software applications.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• 3+ years of experience working with Syncsort, Cobol, OPTIM, DB2, CICS, ESP, Endevor, MS Office Suite, CLIST, REXX, TOAD, or ODBC knowledge.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
