About the position

At bioMérieux, we put innovation to work in life-saving diagnostic devices deployed across the world. Our Systems Development team collaborates globally to build products that ensure patient health and consumer safety. As a member of a highly collaborative, cross-functional software-development team, the Technical Writer will drive updates of user-facing documentation and work with software business analysts and subject-matter experts to refine software requirements and specifications to develop software for innovative diagnostic solutions that help hospitals determine the correct antibiotics to treat millions of infected patients each year.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, updating and maintaining modifications to user-facing documentation and ensuring documentation is up-to-date and comprehensive, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with project goals and user needs
• Assisting team with creation of knowledge-transfer documentation for demonstration of software to stakeholders
• Simplifying and organizing software requirements and specifications documentation
• Creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for various audiences
• Maintaining and updating documentation as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 1 year experience working as a Technical Writer, with proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts and language
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in documentation tools and software
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in an ISO/FDA regulated environment as a member of a product-development organization (medical-device or biotech industry) preferred
• Experience in working alongside a software-development project
• Experience working with software application-lifecycle-management (ALM) tools such as Helix, Jira, etc
