About the position

The Technology Risk VP is a key role within the First Line Risk and Controls (FLRC) team at State Street, responsible for managing technology risk and regulatory compliance. This position involves leading a team to execute the FLRC Regulatory Management Services (RMS) program, focusing on regulatory finding remediations and ensuring effective communication with various stakeholders, including regulatory agencies. The role emphasizes high-quality analysis, project management, and mentoring junior staff, contributing to the overall risk management strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution, reporting, and summarization of ongoing regulatory projects within the FLRC RMS team.
  • Lead a team providing technical analysis, assessment, and project management support for regulatory remediations.
  • Manage formal reviews of closure documentation across Lines of Defense (LOD) to ensure alignment and appropriate review.
  • Advise Management and remediation plan owners on executive messaging and structure of closing memoranda.
  • Draft regulatory remediation closing memoranda and coordinate inputs from relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage and coordinate with key stakeholders throughout the regulatory remediation lifecycle.
  • Oversee and report on regulatory remediation progress for measurement and analysis.
  • Provide regular status updates and project management reports as directed.
  • Educate and mentor junior staff in risk analysis and compliance evaluation best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Security, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in risk management and auditing standards.
  • Knowledgeable in IT risk and global financial regulatory programs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and produce quality work products.
  • Strong executive messaging and business writing skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
