About the position

Clarity Innovations is seeking a Technical Writer (TW 2) to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The primary objective of this role is to deliver consolidated and diverse language information and training data on enterprise systems, integrating them into a single corporate website while ensuring the key aspects of training data are maintained. The successful candidate will be responsible for standardizing data to enhance searchability for language analysts, developing, managing, and delivering training, outreach, documentation, and related materials for the consolidated database and its associated purposes. This role requires obtaining data from across the customer enterprise regarding language training data, analyzing and processing this data, and ensuring it is cleaned and formatted into legible, standardized formats that can be easily queried by analysts, all while adhering to customer standards for data management. In addition to data management, the Technical Writer will provide support for outreach, training, documentation, and related materials, delivering training materials as requested by the customer. The role also involves assisting the Global Outreach & Tradecraft Services team with outreach, technical writing, and related activities, while maintaining the status of writing training documentation and setting timely completion dates. Consistent formatting and style must be applied throughout all training documentation, and the candidate will be responsible for migrating, editing, and incorporating multimedia elements such as video, audio, and graphics into the training documentation. This position is crucial in ensuring that the training materials are comprehensive, accessible, and effective in meeting the needs of the end users.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consolidated diverse language information and training data on enterprise systems into one corporate website.
  • Standardize data for easy searchability by language analysts.
  • Develop, manage, and deliver training, outreach, documentation, and related materials for the consolidated database.
  • Obtain data from across the customer enterprise regarding language training data.
  • Analyze and process data, including cleaning and formatting it into standardized formats.
  • Deliver cleaned and organized data into customer systems.
  • Provide support for outreach, training, documentation, and related materials.
  • Deliver training materials as requested by the customer.
  • Assist the Global Outreach & Tradecraft Services team with outreach, technical writing, and related activities.
  • Maintain the status of writing training documentation and set timely completion dates.
  • Apply consistent formatting and style throughout training documentation.
  • Migrate, edit, and incorporate video, audio, and graphics into training documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Degree must be in Communications, Journalism, English, or a STEM field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience creating training and presentation materials.
  • Ability to work with varying levels of personnel throughout the organization.
  • Extroverted, detail-oriented, self-starter.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with diverse formats (PDF, video, graphics, pictures, documents).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint & Confluence.
  • Familiarity with customer corporate tools.
