About the position

The Technical Writer at Wipro Limited plays a crucial role in creating and updating technical content that conveys complex information to users. The primary responsibility is to prepare new technical content or revise existing documentation based on client specifications. This involves interacting with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), both internal and external, to gather and understand the specific needs of the target audience and the documentation requirements for various products. The writer will also need to follow any specific content writing guidelines that may be relevant to the domain, such as Oil & Gas or Aerospace, or adhere to industry standards. In this role, the Technical Writer will identify the types of documents that need to be created, which may include FAQs, product manuals, software manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). They will also determine the appropriate authoring tools to be used for each project. The writer is expected to research, design, illustrate, write, revise, and edit high-quality, user-friendly print documentation and manuals for the end users of the clients. Maintaining project tasks, including checklists and managing version control, is essential to ensure compliance with the quality framework established by the organization. Stakeholder interaction is a significant aspect of this role. The Technical Writer will engage with various stakeholders, including internal teams for content writing project management and client reviews, as well as external clients and third-party OEMs or service companies for gathering content requirements and technical specifications. The ability to manage these interactions effectively is critical to the success of the documentation process.

Responsibilities
