Technical Writer

About the position

Under the direction of the manager, Technical Publications, write new technical service repair bulletins, manuals and related communications concerned with installation, operation, maintenance and repair, and new development of System rental equipment. Research and analyze the procedures and methods involved in working with equipment in order to develop repair methods and procedures to be communicated. As required, we will assist and train new Technical Writers in departmental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Write new technical service repair bulletins and manuals.
• Research and analyze procedures and methods for equipment.
• Develop repair methods and procedures for communication.
• Assist and train new Technical Writers in departmental procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Technical Writing, Journalism, English or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of writing experience in the automotive field preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign with basic knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Professional on a Mac environment.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel) is a plus.
