About the position

As a Technical Writer at Körber Pharma, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining technical documentation that meets customer requirements and industry standards. Your primary responsibilities will include consulting with various stakeholders such as Project Management, Mechanical Designers, Automation Programmers, and Controls Designers to create accurate and comprehensive documentation. You will be responsible for reviewing and understanding User Requirement Specifications (URS) and other relevant documents to ensure that the technical documentation aligns with customer needs. In this position, you will work closely with customer representatives to ensure that the documentation you produce meets their expectations. You will develop a structured plan to meet documentation requirements and deadlines, and you will create systems operator manuals after thoroughly reviewing the operation of machines. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Engineering team to create and revise machine testing protocols, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and Installation Qualification/Operational Qualification (IQOQ). Your role will also involve maintaining revision control and completing trace matrix documents as required. You will review documents for logic, clarity, comprehensiveness, relevance, organization, format, flow, grammar, punctuation, and spelling, ensuring compliance with customer standards and publication policies. You will make recommendations for revisions and improvements to documentation templates, demonstrating a commitment to customer service excellence through clear and concise communication with managers and customers. Staying current on new developments in technical writing and editing will be essential, as will maintaining a clean and safe work area. You will be expected to show a strong eagerness to learn and a positive attitude, participating actively in company meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with Project Management, Mechanical Designers, Automation Programmers, and Controls Designers to develop appropriate documentation and ensure accuracy.
  • Review and understand URS and other documents that outline customer requirements regarding documentation.
  • Work closely with customer representatives to ensure technical documentation meets customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of the English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Ability to understand project timelines and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, teamwork skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and format information within a document.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, or diagram) and follow with precision.
  • Capability to develop new documentation methods and standards.
  • Demonstrate active listening skills by listening and asking appropriate questions.
  • Familiarity with machine construction and application.
