About the position

The Technical Writer position at Trillium Staffing involves developing, writing, and editing a variety of technical materials including manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), installation guides, operation instructions, catalogs, and other related publications. This role requires a collaborative approach, as the Technical Writer will need to gather detailed information from the in-house Engineering and Research & Development departments to ensure accuracy and clarity in the materials produced. Additionally, the Technical Writer will work closely with the marketing team to create online training manuals and instructional videos aimed at enhancing client understanding and usability of products. Candidates for this position should possess a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical processes, as this knowledge is crucial for effectively communicating complex technical information. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the Technical Writer will be responsible for conveying information clearly and concisely to various audiences. A customer service mindset is also important, as the role may involve addressing client inquiries and ensuring that the materials meet their needs. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, offering a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and edit technical materials including manuals, SOPs, installation guides, and catalogs.
  • Collect detailed information from Engineering and R&D departments for technical publications.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create online training manuals and instructional videos.
  • Ensure accuracy and clarity in all technical documentation produced.
  • Address client inquiries and provide support related to technical materials.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of Technical Writing experience within manufacturing, required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Previous CAD software experience, strongly desired.
