About the position

Walmart is hiring Technicians, Refrigeration/HVAC to make a significant impact in the field of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. As a HVAC/Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC/R equipment. Your role will involve performing both major and minor preventive maintenance to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally. You will also be tasked with maintaining quality standards by inspecting installations and modifications of HVAC/R systems. In addition to hands-on technical work, you will manage refrigerant levels and parts inventory, ensuring that all necessary resources are available for HVAC/R maintenance and repair. This includes tracking and ordering HVAC/R parts and developing strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to facilitate smooth operations. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a customer service-oriented approach will be crucial in this role, as you will need to ensure clear, transparent, and respectful communication with all stakeholders. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC/R equipment.
• Perform major and minor preventive maintenance.
• Inspect installations and modifications of HVAC/R systems to maintain quality standards.
• Manage refrigerant levels and parts inventory for HVAC/R maintenance and repair.
• Track and order HVAC/R parts as needed.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure resource availability.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in commercial HVAC/Refrigeration maintenance.
• Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• Vocational or Technical Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) certification and 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
