About the position

CrossMed - Cath Lab is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Lexington, Kentucky. This position is designed for Allied Health Professionals specializing in Cath Lab procedures. The role is set to commence on August 26, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The shifts will be 8 hours long, primarily during the day. The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for providing and coordinating patient care, monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures, and ensuring the cleanliness of the work environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience, be a graduate from an accredited school, and possess the necessary certifications as required by the facility. Physical demands include the ability to remain in a stationary position, lift equipment weighing between 50-100 lbs, and perform various tasks that require pushing, bending, and pulling. The position also requires strong interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage interactions with the public and meet deadlines under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Provides and coordinates patient care
  • Transports patients as needed
  • Monitors and evaluates patients before, during, and post procedure depending on unit
  • Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes
  • Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience preferred
  • Graduate from an accredited school
  • Certifications may be required based on facility requirements
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position and move/lift equipment (50-100 lbs)
  • Ability to push, bend, and pull as needed during procedures
  • Strong communication skills with other health team members
