About the position

Epic Travel Staffing Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Baltimore, Maryland. This position is designed for a skilled professional in the Allied Health field, specifically focusing on cardiac catheterization procedures. The role is set to start as soon as possible and will last for a duration of 16 weeks, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. The work schedule consists of 10-hour shifts during the day, specifically from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekends required. Additionally, the technologist will be on call one weekend per month and will also be required to work on holidays as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a Maryland state license and have a minimum of three years of experience in the field. Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Furthermore, candidates must have an active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification. It is important to note that a COVID vaccine is required for this position, although medical declination is accepted. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab.
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures as directed by the physician.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels during procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the catheterization lab equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations in the lab environment.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • MD License
  • 3+ years of experience in Cath Lab technology
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification
  • Active RCIS or RT (R) certification
  • COVID vaccine required (medical declination accepted)
