About the position

Aequor Allied is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated travel Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This position is ideal for professionals looking to expand their experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization laboratory. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing these procedures, as well as in maintaining the functionality of the equipment used in the lab. In this travel position, you will be expected to work 10-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week, over a duration of 13 weeks. The role requires flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working in various settings and may encounter different protocols and technologies. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to provide high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for procedures, assisting during catheterization, monitoring patient vitals, and ensuring that all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning. Responsibilities

  • Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization laboratory.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Monitor patient vitals during procedures and report any changes to the medical team.
  • Maintain and sterilize equipment used in the Cath Lab.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Document patient information and procedures accurately in the medical records.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Cath Lab setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and team members.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a medical environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous travel experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Familiarity with the latest technologies and techniques in catheterization procedures.
