About the position

Assured Nursing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a contract position in Columbus, Ohio. This role is designed for an Allied Health Professional specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) technology. The position is set to start on September 9, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks, requiring the candidate to work 40 hours per week. The shifts are 10 hours long, primarily during the day, from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The ideal candidate must possess a current state license as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and have at least two years of recent experience in the CVOR setting. This travel position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing essential support in surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room for cardiovascular surgeries.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
• Support the surgical team during procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
• Monitor the patient's condition during surgery and report any changes to the surgical team.
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations in the operating room.

Requirements

• Current state license as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• At least 2 years of recent experience as a CVOR CST.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with various surgical instruments and technologies used in CVOR procedures.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
