About the position

Froedtert Health is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a travel job in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. This position is part of the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network, which operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma Center at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. The Echocardiographer will be responsible for performing Transthoracic echocardiograms, setting up and assisting with Transesophageal Echocardiograms, and under the direction of a trained echocardiographer, setting up and performing exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms. The work must adhere to the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and Froedtert Hospital. This role requires a professional who demonstrates increasing competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population. The position is a 13-week contract with a schedule of 40 hours per week, typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with variable shifts. The position pays bi-weekly and offers a pay package based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in TTE and TEE, familiarity with ASE guidelines, and experience with Philips ultrasound equipment. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
  • Assist with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
  • Set up and perform exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms under supervision
  • Adhere to standards set by the American Society of Echocardiography
  • Demonstrate competency in delivering care to an adult population
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in TTE and TEE
  • Knowledge of ASE guidelines
  • Experience with Philips ultrasound equipment
  • Completion of a two-year Allied Health degree
  • Successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved School of Ultrasound Technology or Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent education
  • Certification in cardiac ultrasound (RDCS or RCS) from ARDMS or CCI
  • Previous healthcare-related experience (CNA, EMT, PCA, etc.) is preferred
