About the position

Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Bellevue, Washington. This position is for a Registered Cath Lab Technologist (RCVT) with an immediate opening for a 13-week assignment, requiring 40 hours of work per week on an 8-hour day shift. The Cath Lab Technologist will assist doctors during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular procedures, and structural heart procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring, and assisting providers as requested. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing the Cardiac Lab procedure rooms, ensuring adequate stock is available and in working condition, including instrument sterilization if applicable. You will prepare patients and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing the site of entry, draping the patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing. Operating and ensuring the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab is also a key responsibility. You will scrub in during procedures, assisting the physician in maneuvering catheters, and obtaining and recording hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment. Monitoring the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab is crucial, as is participating in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The role requires the ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience and hold certifications such as BLS, ACLS, AART, and RCIS, along with state-specific licensing when required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and CPR.

Requirements

  • Registered Cath Lab Technologist (RCVT) certification.
  • 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • BLS, ACLS, AART, and RCIS certification.
  • State-specific licensing when required.
