About the position

Focus Staff is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a travel job in Austin, Texas. This position is designed for healthcare professionals who are looking to explore new opportunities while providing essential services in the cardiovascular operating room. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, assisting surgeons and other medical staff during cardiovascular procedures. As a CVOR Tech, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room, ensuring that all necessary equipment is sterile and ready for use, and assisting in the management of patient care during surgical procedures. This travel contract is for a duration of 13 weeks, with shifts scheduled for 10 hours per day, four days a week. Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room for cardiovascular procedures.
  • Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
  • Assist surgeons and medical staff during cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Monitor patient vitals and provide support during procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately.

Requirements

  • Current CVOR Technologist certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with various cardiovascular procedures.
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to different healthcare settings.
