About The Position

The position involves collaborating with various teams to productize NAND-based SSD products, ensuring quality and efficiency from development to mass production. The role requires proactive risk identification, specification of manufacturing test methodologies, and performing failure analysis while driving process improvements and automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering with 10+ years of experience in protocols like NAND(FLASH) Toggle mode/Onfi, DDR3/4/5, LPDDR3/4/5 GDDR3/4/5/6 and other High-speed interfaces.
  • Thorough understanding of High-Speed PHY and Datapath architectures and other clock recovery and schemes.
  • Experience with HW designs, Design validation, Production tests and signal integrity of high-speed interfaces.
  • Deep knowledge of the product development cycle from concept to mass production.
  • Very analytical in nature and able to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with SW team to define and implement diagnostics for hardware validation at component, interface, and system level.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in managing projects from development to high volume production working together with global cross-functional teams.
  • Problem solving and executive communication experience.
  • Experience in using various bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and meters.
  • Python Scripting skills to automate tests, logs parsing and data collection.
  • Hands-on lab equipment skills for electrical validation and characterization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Units and Global New Product development engineering teams to productize NAND based SSD products.
  • Interface with internal teams and external customers on engineering issues involving the unit's products.
  • Plan and execute product qualification plans, from early prototypes to mass production.
  • Proactively identify risks during development phase and lead mitigation planning.
  • Specify the manufacturing test methodology for NAND-based SSD products; design manufacturing test flows and collaborate with test engineering to develop new testers and infrastructure that meet production requirement targets.
  • Ensure the production test coverage meets the manufacturing quality and cost targets for a successful launch to production.
  • Perform failure analysis on NAND-based SSD products in qualification and production environments, working as a critical interface between various cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and drive corrective actions, process improvements, error-proofing, and yield improvement efforts with appropriate functional owners.
  • Work with development teams on implementation of DFT and other automation solutions where possible.
  • Provide data to the leadership team for making critical decisions related to products, infrastructure and manufacturing processes.
