About the position

Premier Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Mesa, Arizona. This position is designed for Allied Health Professionals specializing in Cath Lab technology. The role is set to commence on September 3, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks. The Cath Lab Technologist will be expected to work 36 hours per week, with shifts scheduled for 12 hours during the day. This travel position offers a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals to gain experience in different settings while providing essential services to patients in need. As a travel Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the catheterization lab. This includes preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and assisting physicians during catheterization procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cath Lab procedures and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the catheterization lab.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them.
  • Operate imaging equipment and assist physicians during catheterization procedures.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards in the catheterization lab.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Cath Lab setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of imaging equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with various imaging modalities.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Additional certifications in related fields.
