About the position

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This position is designed for a dedicated professional who is ready to provide high-quality patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab (CCL). The Cath Lab Technologist will work under the direction and immediate supervision of the cardiologist or radiologist performing various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The role requires a commitment to delivering safe, competent, and quality patient care while assisting the cardiology team during procedures. The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for operating ancillary equipment, anticipating the needs of the cardiologist, and obtaining necessary catheters, wires, and medications as ordered. Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab (CCL).
• Assist in the performance of various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Operate ancillary equipment during procedures under the direction of the cardiologist/radiologist.
• Anticipate and obtain catheters, wires, and other necessary inventory and medications as ordered.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Maintain an environment of excellence that is patient-focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for both staff and customers.

Requirements

• Certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent.
• Experience in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.
• Knowledge of invasive cardiac procedures and patient care protocols.
• Ability to operate medical equipment and technology used in the Cath Lab.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the cardiology team and patients.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with various cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
