About The Position

VML CR is looking for a Technology manager. The Technology Manager is a key leadership position within the agency. A thoughtful and strategic leader with excellent business acumen, who is responsible for creating and implementing a holistic digital and technology strategy and is comfortable in challenging the convention and disrupting the status quo. This role requires individuals who are experienced in enterprise and digital technologies, managing executive client relationships and have passion to develop innovative consumer experiences. The Technology Manager also provides vision, inspired leadership and contributes to the growth of the region and ensuring in the development of best in class consumer experience and be our clients' trusted advisor.

Requirements

• College degree or significant project support experience
• Master's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or business administration preferred
• 10+ years of Digital/Marketing Agency experience
• 15+ years of development/software engineering experience
• Source Control (Git, GitFlow)
• Server-side programming abilities required using one or more of the following (.NET Framework, C#, Java, PHP, NodeJS)
• Mastery of agile software development methodologies, amongst other methodologies
• Provide direction to several Centers of Excellence, including CMS-related (Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Drupal), DevOps, Cloud, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Java and .NET
• Understanding and experience in executing large scale processes and technologies
• A passion to inspire and lead great technological design while sharing ideas in a team-oriented environment on cutting-edge projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with multiple application lifecycle management solutions
• Ability to provide proactive and assertive leadership in problem solving, managing financial success of projects, maintaining timelines, and reducing waste
• Ability to manage multiple work-streams (projects) effectively and efficiently
• Extensive team management skills for teams of 40+ individuals

Responsibilities

• Work with Technical Architects/Leads to design technology solutions for best-in-class websites, applications and systems integrations
• Partner with Technology, Creative and PMO department leads to develop cutting-edge solutions in support of meeting client expectations
• Estimate large-scale projects and provide work breakdown structures for individual teams.
• Anticipate significant system and industry changes, presenting information and analysis to facilitate a proactive approach to problems and opportunities
• Provide overarching technology strategy, leadership, and management for the technology team.
• Ability to develop, articulate, and lead strategic technology vision for the clients.
• Collaborate with strategy, UX and design teams to develop digital roadmaps and best in class digital products.
• Maintain direct client relationships with executives and cross-functional team leadership.
• Maintain a deep knowledge of industry trends, advancements, and new capabilities.
• Collaborate with broader VML leadership to determine key areas of focus and opportunities in servicing client portfolios.
• Oversee planning, resourcing, and execution of all strategic roadmaps across client initiatives.
• Provide well researched solutions related to client requests and proactive opportunities for growth.
• Establish and optimize processes leveraged by the entire organization for technical design and delivery.
• Are accountable for issues that raise within specifics projects that might have uptime implications
