About the position

The Technology Rotational Development Program (RDP) at Equifax is a structured 24-month training initiative designed for aspiring Site Reliability Engineers (SREs). This program includes eight-month rotations within the U.S. Information Solutions (USIS) Technology organization, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of technology and operations. The program aims to develop highly motivated individuals who possess strong collaboration and communication skills, enabling them to tackle critical business challenges and enhance product performance. Participants in the RDP will engage in a comprehensive learning experience that covers cloud technologies, product knowledge, customer insights, and business operations. The role is ideal for those who enjoy addressing technical challenges, automating processes, and ensuring the reliability of systems. As part of a DevSecOps environment, RDP participants will contribute to the development and maintenance of small-scale, fault-tolerant systems, and assist in creating tools and scripts for incident auto-remediation. Collaboration is key in this role, as participants will work closely with development and operations teams to build highly available and cost-effective systems. They will also be involved in monitoring system performance, measuring impairments, and addressing outages. Additionally, the program offers exposure to senior leadership, providing valuable insights into the strategic direction of the organization and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 24-month rotational program with 8-month rotations as a Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Gain experience through cross-training in various areas within the USIS Technology organization.
  • Engage in formalized training and development throughout the program.
  • Contribute to the build and run of small-scale, fault-tolerant systems in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Assist in creating tools and scripts for auto-remediation of incidents.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to build highly available and cost-effective systems.
  • Measure and monitor system impairments and outages.
  • Assist the cloud operations team in resolving system issues.
  • Gain exposure to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or equivalent field.
  • Completion of coursework by May 2025.
  • 1 year of experience in any programming language such as Python, Java, GO, Groovy, Bash, JavaScript, or other modern programming languages.
  • 1 year of experience with Linux/Unix systems and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).

  • Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, JMeter, and Git Repo.
