About The Position

The Telemetry Technician at Central Valley Specialty Hospital plays a crucial role in monitoring patients' heart rhythms to ensure their safety and well-being. Requirements

• EKG Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited provider
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Monitors the heart rhythm pattern of patients to detect abnormal pattern variances using telemetry equipment.
• Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances.
• Observes the screen of the cardiac monitor and listens for the alarm to identify abnormal variation in heart rhythm.
• Informs the Registered Nurse of variances to initiate examination of the patient.
• Measures length and height of patient's heart rhythm pattern on graphic tape readout using calipers.
• Posts information on patient records.
