About The Position

The Member Service Representative (MSR) plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to members at a branch location. This position involves assisting members with various financial transactions, addressing their concerns, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling products and services. The MSR is expected to maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency while ensuring member satisfaction and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• A background in sales and new accounts is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of previous customer service, sales, and cash handling experience in retail, banking, or food service.

Responsibilities

• Provides timely and courteous service to all branch members, assisting them with financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
• Processes branch member transactions efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner, including servicing and closing accounts.
• Performs various file maintenance tasks, including processing requests for address changes and ordering ATM cards.
• Supports the achievement of unit sales goals by identifying cross-selling opportunities and referring members to appropriate business partners.
• Maintains cash drawer in accordance with assigned cash limits and policies, balancing daily work and assisting with branch balancing procedures.
• Has thorough knowledge of all Credit Union products and services, including deposit and loan products and digital opportunities.
• Directly responds to member inquiries via telephone, mail, email, or internal referrals in a timely and accurate manner.
• Develops, expands, and retains member relationships to increase satisfaction.
• Adheres to Branch Service Level Standards and Corporate initiatives, actively participating in marketing campaigns and sales programs.
