About The Position

The Temporary Research Assistant at Rutgers School of Health Professions will support faculty in conducting various research studies within the Health Informatics Department. This role involves participant recruitment, data collection, statistical analysis, and assisting in the preparation of presentations and manuscripts. The position requires flexibility, including availability for evening and weekend data collection, and participation in research meetings.

Requirements

• Minimum education of a high school degree.
• Research experience or strong interest in behavioral, epidemiological, and/or health services research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SPSS, SAS, R, or Python.
• Experience with social network analysis, text analysis, and other computational analysis.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist with protocol initiation and development alongside the Principal Investigator (PI) and study team.
• Assist with eIRB initiation.
• Recruit, manage, and monitor human subjects.
• Collect and manage data through interviews, surveys, and experiments.
• Support grant-related research activities.
• Assist with data cleaning, analysis, and interpretation.
• Utilize RedCap/Qualtrics for data collection.
• Help prepare presentations and manuscripts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
