About the position

The Sales Representative at Tandem Diabetes Care is responsible for promoting the company's diabetes products and services within the Knoxville, TN territory. This role involves strategic business planning, building relationships with potential customers, and providing education on insulin pump therapy. The position aims to meet and exceed sales goals while working closely with a Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Tandem Diabetes products and services within the assigned territory.
  • Lead strategic business planning to identify potential customers.
  • Establish and develop business relationships to facilitate sales.
  • Provide account sales support and continuing education on insulin pump therapy to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure the territory meets and exceeds company sales goals.

Requirements

  • BS/BA from a four-year college or university plus 3 years of related industry sales experience, preferably in diabetes or endocrinology.
  • Ability to travel at least 80% in the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver's license and required auto insurance with a good driving record.
  • Motivation and drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Ability to relate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues.
  • Ability to assert ideas and persuade others through effective communication.
  • Skilled at promoting team cooperation and commitment to success.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing market.

  • Base pay of $89,200 - $109,000 annually with a target earning potential of $164,200 - $184,000 annually.
