About the position

The Territory Manager for Outside Sales at StemCyte is responsible for driving sales growth in the San Diego territory by promoting cord blood storage and tissue preservation services to healthcare providers. This role involves building relationships with OB/GYN physicians and educating expectant families about the benefits of cord blood banking. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical sales, a passion for making a difference, and the ability to develop long-term partnerships with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage individual territory to grow sales and expand market share for StemCyte cord blood storage and tissue preservation products.
  • Develop and execute territory business plan that delivers strong sales results and achieves daily, weekly, and monthly sales objectives and targets.
  • Travel throughout territory to call on OB/GYN offices, hospitals, and birth centers.
  • Promote StemCyte features and benefits to OB/GYN physicians and their staff through value-based conversations.
  • Plan and organize daily sales call activities to optimize time management.
  • Cultivate lasting professional relationships with all key OB/GYN physicians & staff and hospital Labor and Delivery nurses in designated territory.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in product, market, and applicable disease states and knowledge of competitors' products and services.
  • Demonstrate expertise as a Cord Blood Educator such that physicians will refer patients to you for consultation.
  • Build lasting relationships with potential patients/customers while educating and motivating them to invest in their family's future.
  • Generate sales leads for new business in all areas of opportunity and work with inside sales to maximize sales conversion.
  • Participate in all sales team meetings, conference calls, and team projects.
  • Share key findings, successes, challenges, and proposed solutions in a team environment to serve as a learning source for the entire team.
  • Manage and maintain client data in Salesforce database.
  • Represent StemCyte at local, regional, and national meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of medical-related sales experience.
  • Outside sales experience with cold call experience.
  • Medical sales experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Established business relationships with OB/GYN physicians in the San Diego territory.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in medical sales.
