About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Western Australia will be the primary representative for Palfinger, focusing on promoting the brand and driving sales of Vehicle Loading Cranes and Hookloaders. This role involves managing existing customer relationships while also developing new business opportunities, with a strong emphasis on customer relationship management and technical expertise in the products offered. The position is integral to expanding market share and establishing the individual as the go-to expert in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and promote the Palfinger brand in Western Australia.
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships while developing new business opportunities.
  • Facilitate the complete end-to-end sales process from qualification to deal closure.
  • Engage in customer relationship management with a focus on service and support.
  • Develop technical knowledge of Vehicle Loading Cranes and Hookloaders to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Spend 3 to 4 days a week in the field visiting customers and 1 to 2 days in the office for planning and administration.
  • Build relationships with key personnel at Truck Dealerships across Perth and regional WA.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or Sales Territory Manager in capital equipment or heavy machinery sales.
  • Strong track record of successful sales performance in the trucking industry or related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and connect with customers.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills with a creative and innovative approach.
  • Good computer skills and tech-savvy capabilities.
  • Sound numeracy and literacy skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hydraulic lifting equipment sales.
  • Familiarity with marine-based applications of lifting equipment.
