About the position

A Test & Evaluation Engineer job is available with our client in Manassas, VA. In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with Common Weapons Launcher (CWL) and Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator (MTWS) engineers to conduct testing and integration. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field and a minimum of 2 years or job-related experience. Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Crafting comprehensive test procedures.
  • Proficiently utilizing electrical measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes.
  • Performing installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems.
  • Assisting in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps.
  • Supporting informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Occasional travel to submarine home ports for Field Services activities.
  • Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field and a minimum of 2 years or job-related experience or a Master's Degree.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Must have experience with one of the following skills: the AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ-10 systems.
  • Proficiency in software testing and analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Navy or Submarine experience is a valuable asset.
