About the position

As a Therapeutic Area Manager (TAM) at Genentech, you will play a crucial role in understanding and addressing the needs of healthcare practitioners within a specific therapeutic area, particularly in oncology. Your primary responsibility will be to improve patient outcomes by effectively representing Genentech products and optimizing business strategies within the local healthcare ecosystem. You will serve as the main point of contact for healthcare providers, driving clinical and non-clinical decision-making, and ensuring product access while providing education on product information and patient assistance resources.

Responsibilities

• Understand and address healthcare practitioners' needs in oncology.
• Optimize business strategies within the local healthcare ecosystem.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers in the therapeutic area.
• Drive clinical and non-clinical decision-making at the point of care.
• Provide education on clinical and non-clinical topics related to Genentech products.
• Develop solutions for complex accounts across ecosystems.
• Ensure product access and provide education on appropriate use and patient assistance resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, scientific, or clinical field.
• 6+ years of experience in a sales role with healthcare practitioners.
• Previous cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences or related industry.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and mentor peers.

Nice-to-haves

• Oncology experience, particularly in Lung, Breast, and/or Hematology.
• Consistent achievement of financial and quantitative targets.
• Proficiency in addressing operational issues related to healthcare product delivery.
